Our Policy

1. Lekki Events Center has a maximum capacity of 80 Guests for the entire Venue. Clients are responsible for making sure that the number of Guests they invite do not exceed the capacity of the Event Center. They shall be liable for any penalties, tickets, or fines emanating from over- capacity.

 

2. Client will need to incorporate their set-up time and clean up time into the total rental agreement. You must exit at your exit time. You will be automatically charged $150 per hour when you go past your scheduled time after your event time is over.

 

ALCOHOL POLICY 2022

3. The sale of alcohol is prohibited on our Venue. Client is responsible to pay for a licensed bartender for alcohol consumption, if alcohol is being served. No alcohol may be served to, or consumed by, anyone under the legal drinking age of 21. Age identification shall conform to the statutory requirements imposed by the licensing state or federal agency.

The client agrees to ensure alcoholic beverages are consumed in a responsible manner for the safety of everyone. Lekki Events Center reserves the right, in its exclusive discretion, to expel anyone who in its judgment is intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who shall in any manner do or participate in any act jeopardizing the rights, use permits, or insurability of Lekki Events Center or the safety of its staff, Guests, or building contents.

 

DECORATING DAMAGE

4. Nothing may be affixed to the walls, ceilings or windows using thumb tacks, pushpins, nails, or staples or tape. The use of confetti, straw, hay, rice, birdseed are prohibited. Fireworks or sparklers are prohibited without the consent of management. All candles must be completely enclosed in glass or other non-flammable holder.

 

5. Immediately following the completion of the event, all decorations including BALLOONS, trash, and other debris must be removed and thrown away.

 

6. No standing or jumping on our tables and chairs. Our tables must be covered with table covers.

    No moon bounce or anything similar is allowed in the venue.

    No tampons, wipes, or paper towel should be placed in the toilet.

    No food or greasy fluid should be poured into the sink or drain.

 

7. No open flame or frying or cooking is allowed on the premises. However, we allow outside catered food to be brought onto the premises warmed up in chaffing dishes.

 


8. Setup/ Cleanup: On the day of your event, the Client and Vendors will have access to your event site at the time listed on agreement contract.
Additional set-up time may be arranged but may require an additional fee. We do not store items prior to your event and will not be responsible for any items left behind. Eating on and or excessive food on our charger plates is prohibited. Do not unplug anything. Or move any of venue fixtures.

 

9. An additional clean-up fee will be added if the space is not returned in the same clean condition it was given

User is liable and will be billed for any damage expense if more than the $300.00 security deposit. Any portion of the deposit more than actual or estimated damages shall be billed to user, providing User adheres to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. 


 

10. We reserve the right to take pictures and video of your event to use for our marketing and promotional purposes.

 


CANCELLATION POLICY

:

11. If event is cancelled by Client, no portion of the fees paid will be returned to Client. However, If you need to change your date for any reason, we will allow one schedule change and it must be booked within 6 months of the original date (Date must be available) there will be a $35 transfer fee for contract changes
.

 

Damage Deposit
:

12. The Renter is fully responsible for any damages at the event described above. A Security Deposit of $300 is required, for damages that may occur. The Renter will be notified within two days of the conclusion of the event if any damages occur. The Renter is then responsible for payment within three days of notification of these charges and Lekki Events Center reserves the right to take from the Security Deposit if the Renter does not arrange other payment options.

 

NO LOITERING OR GATHERING OUTSIDE THE VENUE- IF SO SUBJECT TO IMMEDIATE CANCELATION without any refund.

 

13. Drugs and Weapons:. This is a drug free and non-smoking facility, smoking is prohibited. There is absolutely no drug use including the use of e-cigarettes or vaporizers/ hookah on the premises or within 25 feet of the building including loitering or congregating outside on the sidewalk at any time during the event, otherwise the event will be canceled without refund. No weapons allowed onsite. NO EXCEPTIONS. If any smoking materials are discarded in planters, sidewalks or grounds, an extra cleanup charge will be imposed.

Any Guests violating the smoking restrictions will result in Event termination.
Client is responsible for all Client’s Guests, invitees, licensees, employees, independent contractors, or other persons under Client’s invitation.

 

14. Client shall be responsible for all personal and property damage caused at the Event Center, it’s parking lot, it’s circulation areas, it’s common areas, neighboring businesses or residents, and surrounding grounds as a consequence of Client’s Guests, invitees, licensees, employees, independent contractors, caterers, bartenders, servers, services of the occasion, and other agents under Client’s invitation, whether intentional or unintentional, whether direct or indirect, including but not limited to personal injury to OWNER’s employees, contractors, or other agents. If damage should occur during the course of Client’s Events, it must be reported immediately to OWNER so arrangements can be made at Client’s costs for a quick and un-interruptive cleanup and restitution.

 

15. Animals: With the exception of service animals, no animals or pets are permitted on the premises.

 

16. Parking: Client is responsible for notifying their Guests of parking requirements. Illegal parking is prohibited and at owners’s risk. Loitering in the parking lot is NOT permitted. If loitering continues, the event is subject to cancellation without any refund.

 

17. 
Music /DJ is allowed and must abide by the county noise ordinance and not be heard in the parking lot. Client agrees to keep all doors to the venue closed at all times except to enter and exit the building, No music is allowed to be played after your party ends.

CLEANING, TRASH, AND EQUIPMENT REMOVAL



 

18. Lekki Events Center will be in a clean condition prior to your event. Within one (1) hour following the event, you are required to return the space in the same clean condition in which it was given.

All trash must be collected, properly bagged by the renter; this includes trash left in the parking lot from your Guests, and must be taken to the dumpster.

 

19. Charges: Clients are expected to provide sufficient supervision to prevent and minimize spillage of food and beverages at the Event Venue. Any Client leaving excess trash in leased rooms, common areas, restrooms, food prep area and outside may be subject to additional charges. Should the renter leave trash after the contracted check-out time, Lekki Events Center has the right to charge renter for a trash removal fee of $100. 
Any additional cleaning that is required due to renter’s event and Guests will be billed to the renter at a rate of $100.00 per hour, per worker. Lekki Events Center reserves the right to take from the Deposit, after notifying renters of the additional cleaning required.

 

20. All decor rental equipment must be removed immediately, including Balloons following your event.

 

21. The client agrees to indemnify, defend, and not hold Lekki Events Center its landlord, building owners, officers, employees, and agents harmless of and from any liabilities, costs, penalties, or expenses arising out of and/or resulting from the rental of the space.  Also, for the use of the premises, including but not limited to, the personal guarantee of provision, service, and dispensing of payment by the client, its employees, and agents of alcoholic beverages at Lekki Events Center.

 

22. Disparaging remarks or any type of physical violence will not be tolerated and will be cause for immediate expulsion. The client and Guests shall always use the premises in a considerate manner. Conduct deemed disorderly at the sole discretion of Lekki Event Center staff shall be grounds for immediate expulsion from the

premises and no refund will be given for the rental period.

 

23. Unruly Behavior: We would not tolerate any form of unruly behavior at our venue. If this should occur, Lekki Event Center and its staff have the right to call the Cops. Our goal is to work with our Clients and their Guests to have a wonderful event. Our staff is well trained to provide good customer service to our Clients and their Guests.

 

24. Security: We reserve the right to hire security service for your event. If e desire to do so, Client would be solely responsible for the cost of hiring security.

 

25. Lekki Event Center will not be responsible for any bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and/or any other loss arising out of the client’s use and occupancy of the premises. This will include appurtenances to the premises and sidewalks.

 

26.  Any caterers and/or outside vendors, companies, and/or institutions MUST provide a copy of their certificate and catering license to Lekki Events Center at least one month prior to the event.

 

27. Should User or any attendee of User’s event remain on the Premises after the Period of Occupancy, such persons will be considered trespassers.

 

28. Lekki Events Center will take no responsibility for personal effects and possessions left on the premises during or after any event. However, we do maintain a lost and found and will hold recovered items for up to 30 days. Every attempt will be made to return any recovered item or items to its rightful owner, after which it will be discarded.

 

29. Point of Contact: Users wishing to tour the facility or needing to arrange for other rental services shall contact the center at 240-729-4444

 

30. In the event Lekki Events Center retains the services of an attorney to represent its interests regarding the agreement or to bring an action for the recovery of damages or other charges, the client agrees to pay a reasonable attorney fee of not less than $500.00 or 20% of the sum sued for, whichever is greater, plus the costs of any legal action.
